Oakray Ltd, Enfield’s leading mechanical and electrical services contractor, is delighted to be one of the key sponsors for Network Homes’ participation in the UKs annual London-Paris cycle ride, part of a Network Homes initiative to raise money for their charity of the year, St Mungo’s. The £5000 sponsorship donation was formally presented to Network Homes at Oakray’s Enfield offices recently.
During the lead up to the ride, which takes place in September, Oakray’s 170 strong workforce will also be getting involved in other activities with Network Homes to support the charity, including a five-a-side football tournament, where Oakray staff will compete alongside teams from Network Homes and St Mungo’s in a series of friendly matches.
The cycle ride, which starts on 13th September at Crystal Palace, is a 4-day trip covering a total of 300 miles. Pedalling first to Dover, with a ferry trip to Calais for an overnight stop, the cyclists then head to Abbeville for a second night’s rest. They then cycle to Beauvais for the third overnight stop, following the river Seine into Paris on the final day and finishing at the Eiffel Tower on 16th September.
