Committed to Innovation.
Our family owned business is based on our founder, the late Ray Franklin’s traditional values of quality workmanship and pride in the job.
Wholly owned by the Ray Franklin Will Trust, integrity and transparency are at the core of our business, together with a commitment to innovation and continuous improvement, which provides us with a sound platform for future business growth. High levels of repeat business are a testimony to the proactive and professional approach we adopt for each and every project.
Oakray Ltd is a leading specialist mechanical and electrical services contractor.
Oakray has been providing buildings support to local authorities, social landlords, NHS trusts and private sector clients for over 40 years.
Founded in 1979, we have a proven track record of delivering successful mechanical, electrical and security solutions to our commercial and domestic clients, with whom we have developed longstanding partnerships. Our highly qualified engineers and technicians provide expertise and experience across the full range of disciplines.
We believe that our tradition for quality workmanship, combined with our commitment to innovation and continuous improvement, gives us a sound platform for future progress.
As individuals, we take full responsibility for our own performances and decisions. We take prompt action in all situations and a proactive approach to improving the quality of our services as well as the performance and growth of our company.
Committed to investment in training and development for all of our employees.
We share knowledge and best practices across the company and also with our partners and supply chain.
As an example, the training of our operatives by boiler manufacturers has enabled us to undertake the warranty works ourselves, ensuring a rapid solution and improved service delivery for the end user.
Our commitment to the training and development of all our staff, together with utilising their individual skills and local knowledge, equips Oakray to do the best job possible wherever we operate.
A ‘Training Partner’ with Hertfordshire Regional College and Brentwood College, we also work in partnership with the NIC EIC, providing the latest training in electrical and renewable energy.
Committed to delivering quality services to the commercial and residential communities in which we work, we pledge to go above and beyond our contractual outcomes to add social value to all that we do.
We work collaboratively to benefit the local economy, the wider community and our environment. We employ and develop a diverse workforce, providing support and training to our staff and our partners. Our Health, Safety, Environment and Quality managers are responsible for ensuring that the company Health and Safety plan is effectively implemented alongside our policies and safe working practices.
All our employees have a legal obligation to take reasonable care of their own health and safety and also for the health and safety of other people who may be affected by their acts or omissions. All our Directors, Senior Managers and Supervisors undertake IOSH Management Safety training and this is further backed-up by regular in-house training and seminars. In order to ensure that our Health and Safety policies are as rigorous and robust as they can be, we organise for an independent Health and Safety Consultant to carry out an annual audit of our Health and Safety policy and procedures (accredited to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 22301 and ISO 27001) as part of our annual Health and Safety review.
